We are alive and well in Ithaca, New York!
We have been visiting a lot of state parks and trying to enjoy as much of the outdoors as we can before the cold, sunless winter months set in.
However, I heard that it was super hot and humid here and I have not felt that way at all.
However, I heard that it was super hot and humid here and I have not felt that way at all.
Maybe the winter months will surprise me as well; fingers crossed!
Here are a few things I've learned about myself and or Ithaca, New York.
1. I'm pretty happy anywhere when I'm with the guy pictured below here,
and here,
and here.
I haven't felt insecure or uncomfortable very often because when I'm with these 3, I feel confident and so lucky that they are mine and hugging and kissing on me. I'm actually quite blessed.
2. You pick farms are the greatest activity EVER!
We have only picked blueberries so far but both times have been so much fun.
We are outside, with friends, enjoying tasty food and we get to take some home. WIN WIN!
3. It rains a lot in Ithaca.
Clearly all this green has to come from somewhere and the rain definitely does its job.
I don't mind the rain too much, but after about 3 days of rainy days I'm ready for so sunshine.
4. There are amazing people all over the world.
Just when I think I've met all the amazingly wonderful people in the world, I meet more!
Grateful I keep bumping into wonderful individuals and families.
5. Ace really loves us!
Ace is taking is very first Economics, Marketing and Accounting class EVER and he feels it.
He feels a bit like a fish out of water right now but he still make a lot of time for us!
He loves and supports the boys and me.
I never look at another husband and dad and think, it could get better...because it just can't.
He's the best there is!!
6. Ithaca people love to run!
I've run at least 3 times every week since almost the first week we got here,
And only one of those runs has been alone!
There is always someone ready and willing to go running.
It has helped to keep happy and keep my energy level up so I can chase after my crazy boys all day.
7. Reid is feisty but so incredibly cute!
He just keeps getting cuter and cuter and slightly less feisty.
Maybe we can have another baby after all.
Look at that face!
So glad you made it safely there (a month and a half ago). The area looks beautiful, and I love seeing you with your boys. We just went to our first u pick farm this week here and got raspberries. So much fun. I know change can be scary and sad, but I am so glad to see your example and see how well things are going for you and your family. love you!
ReplyDeleteSooo good to read you are all doing well! [Plus have running buddies]
ReplyDeleteThose pictures make me think the scenery must be amazing. And they make me think of how I'm not ready for the snow outside....bring back my summer days!
