Some things never change

I consider myself a really blessed girl! I have a great husband, great family and great FRIENDS. Most of my really close friends I've known since elementary school. I made a few really great friends in college, a few in high school, but most of them started back in elementary school and have just stuck around all these years.

I feel it is a rare to have stayed in touch with so many of my friends, but I know they are one of a kind type of people so I try not to let them get out of my sight, or at least out of my cell phone range.

I got together with a few of my really good friends today. When we get together it is easy to see just how different we are. We all have kids, live in different parts of the nation and have aged! But when we get to talking, I realize that some things never change.

Saffire and her son Ketcher just enjoying a summers day.

Little Lucy Priddis, spending a few weeks in Colorado as a cowgirl.

Meeca and her daughter Kambria
I really just thought this picture was so cute. I think the added help didn't make leading the horse any easier, but it made for an adorable picture.

Lucy's first time on a horse. She did great!

Lincoln Priddis, up from a nap and on a horse. Not sure he was fully awake yet.

And of course my sweet nephew Brock who just LOVES riding the horse

Ketcher wasn't too sure about the horse; but when the horse left with other people on it he didn't like that either. He did end up getting on the horse but again wasn't too sure about it.

We can't forget about this handsome little guy. Garret's first time on a horse too.

Saffire, Amy and I have been friends since Elementary school, it was an off and on thing. But by middle school we were inseparable. Ashley Harris was always right there with us but sadly we couldn't quite convince her to come from Arkansas.....hopefully next time.
(the boys crack me up in this picture....I swear they are all happy fellas)

Group picture, minus the Bailey girls who, sadly, had to leave early.
Even with babies in the mix, some things never change.

  1. When you say you girls have "aged" I just have to laugh! You all look so young to me, and seem too young to me to even have kids! I still think of myself being your age and you guys still in high school! Aren't girl friends the BEST? I hope you can continue to stay in touch with your friends cause they just make life more sweet! Cute kids do too!

  2. Yay for good friends! How lucky that you were all able to get together for some fun. (The picture of just Lucy looks like a mini-Amy to me for sure)
